digital watercolor

Painting with watercolour was never my jam. It’s requires a gentle touch and patience – qualities I don’t think I possess.

A few days ago, however, I bought two packs of digital watercolour brushes. I wanted to see whether I could handle the medium digitally.

Needless to say, digital watercolour painting doesn’t require the same amount of patience or that gentle touch as actual watercolour does.

Some things feel similar but it’s far more manageable and, to me, a lot more fun.

bok choi and egg udon

This sketch took a couple hours – figuring out which brush does what etc. (I need to practice but I’m happy with the result.)

I think I might do an udon series.

What should I add to the bowl?

Painting it was fun. I like how non-precise I can be with these watercolour brushes.
