counting green

For still there are so many things that I have never seen: in every wood in every spring there is a different green.

– John Ronald Rueul Tolkien

In Guyana — and I imagine in every other Caribbean country — at any time, if you were to look out the window, you could easily count over a hundred different shades of green. Counting greens was one of my favourite pastimes.

Not quite as many greens where I live now, but still a fun practice — both outdoors and in.

I like the blue light through the amber vase.. we are all prisms to some extent to what comes through us and what we hold onto.. very beautiful and perfect for spring! Thanks!

Ohhhh, I wish I could tell you how much I love this!!

I once tried counting shades of green whilst walking on the seawall but I gave up after half a minute.

      thank you so much 🙂

It’s hard to do when walking / moving, I guess (??)
Let me know if you try it again. Next time, try it when you’re just chilling outside.
