butterfly

I used a 6×6 inch (15 x 15 cm) piece of origami paper to make this butterfly but any size paper that’s exactly square will do.

It’s a lovely way to let your mind loosen its grip and just get into what your hands are doing. Yes, remembering the process at first can be a little difficult but once you get the hang of it, it’s really quite simple.

I hope you try making at least one. If you do, let me know how it goes.

Note: Using a small bit of glue under the final fold helps to hold the shape more permanently.

That was truly lovely! I can watch craft videos for hours! I’m going to try making them and giving them to people to put a smile on their faces. (I will send them here so they can learn too.)

Thank you Neena! I hope you enjoy doing it. It’s so restful and calming. Once you learn the process, time just slips by. I love the idea of giving them to people. I will do that too and we can compare notes. 🙂

Very good video. Makes the whole process simple. The butterflies are very beautiful. I love the blue one best because it makes me think of a blue swallow -tailed butterfly that wandered into my garden once.
