That is really a solemn stance at the balance of personal space that our emotional fence provides.. the tea cups and the yearning to hold scope as an anecdote to loneliness..

What a sad, lonely and unfulfilled yet so poignantly beautiful love story. I feel so sad for this lonely old man who was not brave enough to tell his love. The last line tells WHY he “took” her land. A metaphor? an incursion into her space when no other ploy worked? I wonder. Lovely writing.

I like lonely stories. Reading them and writing them. I hope the granddaughter gets to the bottom of it. 🙂
