Dear Friend,
Today is December 31st. This year is slowly becoming another. In some places it’s already 2026.
In Guyana, we call this day Old Year’s Day. In the US, it’s called New Year’s Eve. The different names may give some inking as to how the two different psyches operate. Looking back or looking forward. However you look at it, it is a time for reflection, for reckoning and for anticipation.
I wanted to take a minute to write you to wish you a really fantastic 2026. I hope it’s just flat out – amazing! (I hope it is for me, too.)
If you don’t already know this about me, I love making lists, reading them, scratching things off of them. Old Year’s Day / New Year’s Eve is the perfect time for this.
Here’s my 2025 list of favorites.

Take good care and stay well.

I so love the way you say so much without going on and on. There’s such a sense of hope and love and a feeling of peace here.
And I really really really want the best for you and anyone else seeing this. I hope 2026 is filled with love and everything good.
Oh wow, every old year’s day I think about it, how people have different names for the same day. Yesterday, I was thinking about the reasons. Couldn’t come up with an explanation.
Thank you ❣️
I too hope your 2026 gives you all that you wish for.
