with my yellow pen…

This idea was given to me by my cousin. She uses my calendar as a type of journal, writing highlights from the month at the back of each page.

I love the idea and started doing it myself. My calendar comes as loose A4 pages so writing on the back is quite easy. The paper is also delicious to write on.)

It’s a treat to sit quietly and think about the month that just ended. What lovely things happened to me during these four weeks?

With my yellow pen that just oozes happiness, I note these moments in short simple sentences. Nothing poetic. Just a way for me to look back and remember that I experienced these things.

And even though sometimes it feels like the world is imploding, these small moments of joy are the memories I should hold on to.

I was planning on creating an art wall using these wonderful calendar pages at the end of the year. Now, using them as monthly reflection journals makes it so much more personable and meaningful! Your art and my notes – imagine my girls looking at them 50 years from now? 🙂

Oh Ira I love that. Like a little time capsule for them to discover. Things that are personal and about you and also about them too. Thank you for giving this a try . 🥰
